Tanzania Fundraiser!

A word from the Vine Trust...

Jonny is fundraising in aid of their Vine Trust Medical Expedition to Lake Victoria, Tanzania. Jubilee Hope Medical Expeditions are an opportunity for volunteers to make a real and lasting difference to communities living on the islands and shore of Lake Victoria. Working in partnership with our in-country clinical team, volunteers provide primary healthcare services to communities living in severe poverty, aboard our fully-equipped medical vessel, Jubilee Hope. Vine Trust Medical Expeditions provide free, life-changing clinical testing, treatment and education to communities who would otherwise have little or no access to basic healthcare.

Donations made through this page will contribute towards the cost of Jonny's expedition, including international flights, accommodation, food, in-country transport, and a donation towards the medical programme. Any additional funds raised will go towards the maintenance and development of the Jubilee Hope Medical Programme.

Many thanks for supporting Vine Trust – together we are helping to support vulnerable communities through effective and sustainable development.

Please note: Vine Trust does not accept responsibility for the fundraising activities of persons fundraising in aid of their expedition or the Trust. Any views expressed on this page are solely those of the named fundraiser and/or their donors, not Vine Trust.

Fundraising Activity

The Vine Trust does an amazing job in supporting remote communities, in very difficult to reach places. Some of these communities are found on the banks of Lake Victoria, Tanzania. The Vine Trust supports a medical ship (The Jubilee Hope) on Lake Victoria which helps facilitate vital health care provision to people who may not otherwise have access to any healthcare. In April 2025 I hope to join the Jubilee Hope medical team on Lake Victoria. The money raised will help support my place on the ship, providing much needed support to those in need.

How I'm raising money

On the 16th of February I hope to run the Sea Ice Marathon in Sweden (https://sea-icemarathon.com/). It’ll be cold and pretty challenging…

Truly inspirational, you could have walked round the John Dixon Park and we would have donated. Good luck and best wishes, Aly & Elaine
