A word from the Vine Trust...
Mrs S is fundraising in aid of their Vine Trust School Expedition to Tanzania. Vine Trust School Expeditions are an opportunity for students to make a real and lasting difference to Tanzanian communities living in poverty. Working closely with our in-country partners, volunteers construct individual family homes for some of the world's most vulnerable people - providing shelter, security and hope, and empowering communities to achieve a brighter future.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the cost of Mrs S's expedition, including international flights, accommodation, food, in-country transport, and the purchase of construction materials and resources. Any additional funds raised will go towards future Vine Trust construction projects and the development of Vine Trust's programmes.
Many thanks for supporting Vine Trust – together we are helping to support vulnerable communities through effective and sustainable development.
Please note: Vine Trust does not accept responsibility for the fundraising activities of persons fundraising in aid of their expedition or the Trust. Any views expressed on this page are solely those of the named fundraiser and/or their donors, not Vine Trust.
Fundraising Activity
Vine Trust is an international development charity that works with long-term Peruvian and Tanzanian partners as they strengthen health systems and implement construction projects in isolated and vulnerable communities in the Amazon and on Lake Victoria. We enable volunteers to empower communities living in severe poverty in Tanzania and Peru. Working in partnership with local organisations, we bring real and sustainable development to some of the world’s most vulnerable people. Alexa will partake in a 2 week house building project. ** Meet families who are part of TAWREF’s community programme, learning about our partner’s life-changing construction projects. ** Get stuck into the construction process by working under the mentorship of local builders to dig foundations, mix cement, and build brick walls that make up the foundations of a new home. ** Interact and engage with local community members, opening yourself up to an experience that will inform your perspective on your role in the global community. ** Immerse yourself in the vibrant and diverse culture of Tanzania whilst also seeing first-hand the realities of poverty in vulnerable communities and the benefits of sustainable development practices that are run by local partners. Donations will contribute towards the cost of Alexa's expedition, including international flights, accommodation, food, in-country transport and the purchase of construction materials/resources.
