A word from the Vine Trust...
Heather is fundraising in aid of their Vine Trust Building Expedition to Tanzania. Vine Trust Building Expeditions are an opportunity for volunteers to make a real and lasting difference to Tanzanian communities living in poverty. Working closely with our in-country partners, volunteers construct individual family homes and larger children’s homes for some of the world’s most vulnerable people - providing shelter, security and hope, and empowering communities to achieve a brighter future.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the cost of Heather 's expedition, including international flights, accommodation, food, in-country transport, and the purchase of construction materials and resources. Any additional funds raised will go towards future Vine Trust construction projects and the development of Vine Trust's Tanzanian Building programme.
Many thanks for supporting Vine Trust – together we are helping to support vulnerable communities through effective and sustainable development.

Fundraising Activity
In July- August next year I will once again be going back out to Tanzania for round two! During my two weeks in Tanzania I will be helping build homes for those who are unfortunate enough to be living in awful situations. In 2017 I was lucky enough to visit the families who were living in these awful conditions and it was truly heartbreaking. To see families of 8, including livestock, living in a small hut made entirely of wood and mud, barley big enough for three people was a sight I will never forget. Speaking to the residences you couldn’t help but smile( and on occasions become involved in their chanting). Everyone was so kind and welcoming that when it came time to leave, you not only got hugs from members of the community, but also the energy of the place was just indescribable. By just being there it gave the community a sense of hope. I want to be able to experience this all along as the satisfaction of helping others in second to none. Two weeks may not seem like a lot but the work that can be done it that time is astonishing and frankly it’s inhuman to leave these people suffering any longer, especially the children. Well enough of my rambling, I hope I have shown you how through supporting my page and in turn me that you are supporting the improvement of vulnerable communities in dyer circumstances. Any support is greatly appreciated! Asante Sana, HeatherHow I'm raising money
