A word from the Vine Trust...
Owen is fundraising in aid of their Vine Trust Medical Expedition to the Peruvian Amazon. Amazon Hope Medical Expeditions are an opportunity for volunteers to make a real and lasting difference to communities living on the Peruvian Amazon. Working in partnership with our in-country clinical teams, volunteers provide primary healthcare services to remote and isolated riverine communities, aboard our fully-equipped medical vessels, Amazon Hope 2 and Forth Hope. Vine Trust Medical Expeditions provide free, life-changing clinical testing, treatment and education to communities who would otherwise have little or no access to basic healthcare.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the cost of Owen's expedition, including international flights, accommodation, food, in-country transport, and a donation towards the medical programme. Any additional funds raised will go towards the maintenance and development of the Amazon Hope Medical Programme.

Hello! I am Owen, a 5th year medical student undertaking an elective with the Vine Trust. As part of this elective, I'll be involved in clinics delivering healthcare and health education to indigenous, isolated, communities along the Amazon river. These communities have poor access to care and the Vine Trust runs a vital service that ensures they receive sustainable, effective care regularly. By sponsoring me, you'll be supporting my trip aboard the ship as well as the work the Vine Trust does year-round.
