Fundraising Activity

Hi, I’m Isabel Marrin, and I am fundraising for a volunteering trip to Tanzania with Vine Trust, supported by Babcock. Vine Trust is an international development charity that works with national and international partners to support vulnerable families through sustainable construction in Tanzania.  During the trip, I’ll be involved in: Hands-on building work – digging foundations, mixing cement, and helping construct homes
Family interaction – connecting with local families and communities
Cultural immersion – learning about Tanzanian traditions, language, and daily life
Climate action – taking part in tree planting and environmental awareness activities
Exploration – including a three-day safari to Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park   Your support will help make this possible and contribute to long-term impact. Here’s what Vine Trust has already achieved: — Over 2.5 million free medical consultations delivered in Peru and Tanzania
 — 149 homes built in partnership with TAWREF
 — 600+ children supported through shelter projects
 — 1,060+ UK students and teachers engaged through expeditions

How I'm raising money

To raise money for the expedition, we'll be organising a series of fundraising activities, including charity events, sponsored challenges, and community initiatives. Our main challenge will be a sponsored marathon walk, where we will walk the full 26.2 miles in one day. Alongside this, we will be hosting a Christmas tombola as well as organising car boot sales. These activities are just the beginning, with further events planned to help us reach, and hopefully exceed out goal.
