A word from the Vine Trust...
Finn is fundraising in aid of their Vine Trust School Expedition to Tanzania. Vine Trust School Expeditions are an opportunity for students to make a real and lasting difference to Tanzanian communities living in poverty. Working closely with our in-country partners, volunteers construct individual family homes for some of the world's most vulnerable people - providing shelter, security and hope, and empowering communities to achieve a brighter future.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the cost of Finn's expedition, including international flights, accommodation, food, in-country transport, and the purchase of construction materials and resources. Any additional funds raised will go towards future Vine Trust construction projects and the development of Vine Trust's programmes.
Many thanks for supporting Vine Trust – together we are helping to support vulnerable communities through effective and sustainable development.

Fundraising Activity
I am raising money to fund a trip to Tanzania with my school, Earlston High School, to volunteer and help local charities with building homes and support young people. The trip is in conjunction with the Vine Trust and will take place in June 2027 at the end of my 5th year at high school for 2 weeks. We will work with local builders on housing construction as well as getting to meet the families who will live in these homes. It will be a great opportunity for me to meet local young people and learn more about the world. I hope to inspire young people with my love of sport and the sense of team that I have gained from playing rugby at my local club, Melrose Rugby Club. I applied to be part of this volunteering team with a commitment to raise £3,500 to fund flights, accommodation and any other expenses and so any contribution I receive will be a huge help.
How I'm raising money
Over the next year or so I will be organising a range of social events, physical challenges and spoored activities. I am happy to accept suggestions and always keen to offer my services in car cleaning, greenhouse watering etc. I am also contributing a portion of my wage from my Darnick paper round towards the fund.
