A word from the Vine Trust...
Aleisha is fundraising in aid of their Vine Trust School Expedition to Tanzania. Vine Trust School Expeditions are an opportunity for students to make a real and lasting difference to Tanzanian communities living in poverty. Working closely with our in-country partners, volunteers construct individual family homes for some of the world's most vulnerable people - providing shelter, security and hope, and empowering communities to achieve a brighter future.
Donations made through this page will contribute towards the cost of Aleisha's expedition, including international flights, accommodation, food, in-country transport, and the purchase of construction materials and resources. Any additional funds raised will go towards future Vine Trust construction projects and the development of Vine Trust's programmes.
Many thanks for supporting Vine Trust – together we are helping to support vulnerable communities through effective and sustainable development.
Please note: Vine Trust does not accept responsibility for the fundraising activities of persons fundraising in aid of their expedition or the Trust. Any views expressed on this page are solely those of the named fundraiser and/or their donors, not Vine Trust.
Fundraising Activity
Hi, I'm Aleisha, and I'm excited to say I've been given the opportunity to volunteer on a Tanzania expedition in June 2025. Myself and a group of pupils from Millburn Academy, aged 14-17, are embarking on an exciting journey to the village of Moshi, nestled at the base of Kilimanjaro. Here, we will aid in constructing homes for individuals and families impacted by diseases such as HIV and AIDS, as well as those struggling with poverty. Led by Vine Trust School Expeditions, this initiative offers a remarkable opportunity to not only contribute to improving the living conditions of the community but also to immerse ourselves in Tanzanian culture and learn about the local people and traditions. In order to explore this beautiful country, we have to fundraise all the money required to go, including flights and accommodation. If you are able to support me, I would be very grateful.
How I'm raising money
I have participated in group organised bake sales, raffles and bucket collections. In the future I intend on hosting a bingo event for close family and friends, organising home game bake sales at my basketball club, a book swap, an Easter raffle, and finally, a half marathon. I really appreciate all of your support in helping me achieve my fundraising goal.
