In October 2014 a team of our volunteers helped build a home for the family of James Mosha. Liz who heads up our Tanzania home-building expeditions was passing the home in November 2015 and popped in to say hello.
"The family are all doing well and it was exciting to see that they now have a solar panel on the roof providing electricity in the home! They proudly switched the lights on and off, on and off to show me the difference the solar lighting has made to their situation! If you look close enough at the pictures, hopefully you can see the outside light bulb and solar panel on the roof!
It was great to see how well the family are doing and the impact the new home has had on them - thank you to our volunteers for being part of their story and making such a huge difference to their lives."
Sheila Christie who volunteered on a home-building expedition in September 2015 was working on another home close by to James Mosha's. She visited the family and decided that she would like to purchase new mattresses and beds to support the family. As you can see from the photos below they were gratefully received. Thank you to Sheila for her generous support.
